Alan King

Born: 1969-11-03

Alan King (born 3 November 1969) is an Australian actor, director, and writer who has performed on stage, film and television for over 30 years. Also an accomplished painter, King completed his Bachelor of Fine Art (major in painting) from the prestigious fine art school, The Victorian College of the Arts in 2006. Following art school, he found himself gravitating to the medium of filmmaking, relishing the opportunity to amalgamate both his performance and fine art skills. In 2013 King formed his production company White Cube Picture Lab with a mission to create intimate, avant-garde storytelling for the screen. Tending to work outside conventional filmmaking frameworks, King is a true maverick, often performing multiple roles on a single project from director, cinematographer, sound designer, editor and actor.
