Her performances include Damn Yankees (the first African American 'Lola' opposite Jerry Lewis), The Dancer’s Life (opposite Chita Rivera), Smokey Joe’s Cafe, 9 to 5, Fosse, The Wiz, Cats, The Who’s Tommy, Mamma Mia!, Sistas, Crowns, Sweet Charity, Caroline, or Change, and Dreamgirls. Her TV appearances include Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Chapelle’s Show, and The Wire. Her film appearances include Malcom X, Man on the Moon, The Perfect Find (opposite Gabrielle Union, Netflix),  and Two Degrees (opposite Vanessa E. Williams).
