Benji Aflalo
It was during his high school years that Benji Aflalo made his screen debut with the pilot episode of the sitcom "Raising Dad" (The WB 2001-02), though it wouldn't be until after graduating college in 2006 that he went on to properly begin his career in show business. Following graduation, Aflalo started as a stand-up comedian, and began accruing work as a professional comedy writer. Some of Aflalo's earliest writing credits include "The Burn with Jeff Ross" (Comedy Central 2012-13), "The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco" (Comedy Central 2013), and "The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber" (Comedy Central 2015). Around the same time, Aflalo co-wrote and co-starred in the comedic short film "Alone Together" (2015) with Esther Povitsky, about a mismatched pair of young adults traversing the world together. Two years after the short's production, it would go on to inspire a half-hour comedy series. Aflalo and Povitsky were once again cast as leads in "Alone Together" (Freeform 2018-), which was this time produced by Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island colleagues Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone.
