Bernard Gorgeon
Born in Marseille in 1953, Bernard Gorgeon began climbing in the Calanques at the age of ten. It was there that he worked as a mountain guide for about ten years. With a few loyal friends, he opened many routes in the region up to the Verdon cliffs where he has lived for about forty years. With Patrick Edlinger, the icon of an entire generation, and his friends of the time, Bernard Gorgeon participated in the development of a culture based on frugality and non-conformism, a taste for freedom and rock. It is this art of living in the wilderness that we discover throughout this story, with its philosophy, its values, its fraternity, this spirit of rope and friendship so particular that makes climbing and the mountains so beautiful. In 2021, he published the book "Une Vie à Grimper" with Glénat editions.
