David Wayne Young is an actor, writer, director and producer. David first began writing at the age of 6 and developed an interest in acting in the sixth grade. When Chris realized that David was an actor, he had him audition for the lead role in Illumination Cinema's first feature, Living After Midnight (2016). After becoming friends with Tyler and Chris on set, they kept in touch and continued to collaborate as an actor and consultant on their scripts. Thus, David became a part of Illumination Cinema. Since becoming a part of the company in 2016, David not only became a producer on the feature film Left Hook, he also wrote and directed his first short film, How Much. Aside from frequently acting, producing and consulting on studio's projects, David has also taken on the position of the company's CFO.
