Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas
Formed in Kobe in 2008. Their self-produced EP, which was only available at live venues, continued to sell out, and word spread, leading to the release of their first album, "Dance & Scream," exclusively at Tower Records in November 2010. Their unpredictable, dramatic, and one-of-a-kind musicality, which mercilessly combines a variety of genres from emo, screamo, metal, EDM, hip hop to anime songs, and their overwhelming live performances that get everyone on the floor dancing wildly, regardless of age or gender, have earned them enthusiastic support both at home and abroad, and they quickly rose to the top of the live house scene. Since then, despite having little media exposure, all of their releases have become regulars in the top ranks of the Oricon Weekly Chart. In March 2013, they held their first solo concert at their hometown Kobe World Memorial Hall, and in early 2015, they held their first solo concert in the Kanto region at the Budokan. Both concerts sold out, and in 2017, they moved to Warner Music Japan. In October of the same year, they released their 5th full album "New Sunrise" and embarked on a long tour that took them to all 47 prefectures over six months. All concerts were sold out, and in April 2018, they also had a great success with their solo concert at Makuhari Messe, which was the final concert of the tour. At the same concert, they announced that 2019 will be the milestone year of their 10th anniversary and that they will hold a two-day festival (MEGA VEGAS). Even after 10 years since their formation, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas continues to evolve without stopping. What on earth will they show us next? Just imagining it already makes my heart race!
