Francisco Ríos Telles

Born: 2001-09-04

Francisco Ríos Telles (born September 4, 2001) is a film director, screenwriter, and editor. He is originally from Lima, Peru, and is the son of philosopher and writer Arturo Ríos and psychologist Elena Telles. He graduated from the Peruvian School of Cinematographic Industry in 2023. He is known for telling stories in the fantasy genre. In his work, he seeks to reflect the loneliness of his characters, whose goal is often to find something or someone that makes them feel less alone. Additionally, the figure of the "Individual" vs. the "System" is always present. Fantasy is a key pillar of his filmography, as he uses this canvas to have the freedom to employ metaphors and take his stories to a more conceptual level.
