José Herrero

Born: 1912-08-31

He was taken by his parents to Buenos Aires at a young age and soon began working at Radio Splendid as a member of the Compañía Juvenil de Arte, a group that included, among others, Delia Garcés, Alita Román, Inés Edmonson and his sister Queca Herrero. The company dramatized poems and tangos with librettos by Carlos Hugo Christensen and Francisco José Muñoz Azpiri. He made his film debut in 1939 working in El Loco Serenata, directed by Luis Saslavsky, La vida de Carlos Gardel, by Alberto de Zavalía, Atorrante (The Revenge of the Earth) directed by Enrique de Rosas
