Keke Rosberg
Keke Rosberg, born on December 6, 1948, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a former Finnish racing driver and the 1982 Formula 1 World Champion. Known for his fearless driving style and charismatic personality, Rosberg achieved significant success in an era marked by intense competition. He began his F1 career in 1978 and rose to fame with the Williams team, where he won his first and only championship in 1982, despite winning only one race that season—a testament to his consistency and skill. Rosberg was known for his aggressive, high-speed driving, setting the fastest lap records, including a remarkable 160 mph lap at Silverstone in 1985. After retiring from Formula 1 in 1986, he remained active in motorsports as a team owner, manager, and mentor to other drivers. He is also the father of Nico Rosberg, who followed in his footsteps to become the 2016 Formula 1 World Champion. Keke Rosberg’s legacy endures as one of Formula 1's most spirited and entertaining drivers, whose impact on the sport continues through his son’s achievements and his ongoing influence in motorsport.
