In the 1970s, he appeared in many documentary-style dramas created by director Shoichiro Sasaki. The drama "Mother" is known for its ambitious style, in which all of the actors, including Yokokura, are ordinary people, and there is no script other than the main character's setting and dialogue (narration). She has participated in a series of works, including the drama "Girl of Dream Island" and the drama "Four Seasons ~ Utopiano." These works have been highly acclaimed overseas, with "Mother" also winning the Golden Nymph Award at the 12th Monte Carlo Television Festival.
