He was a character actor known for Barbara Frietchie (1924), Riders of the Purple Sage (1925), The Rainbow Trail (1925), Sparrows (1926), and City Girl (1930). He died on April 12, 1963 in Walla Walla, Washington at the Veteran's Administration Hospital and was buried with military honors in Tacoma, Washington.
