Michael Faulkner

Best known for improv, sketch comedy and Shakespeare, Michael Faulkner is a prolific legit stage actor who has played regional theaters all over the United States and toured the world with sketch comedy troupe "The Reduced Shakespeare Company." He is a graduate of the Second City Training Center, and in Los Angeles has appeared at the Getty Villa with the Troubador Theater Company, as well as at IOWest, UCB and the Comedy Central Stage. He regularly narrates the shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium at Griffith Observatory. Since his first professional appearance at age 14 at Shakespeare Santa Cruz, he has tackled many Shakespearean clowns at professional theaters throughout California. A thriving commercial actor, you may have seen him air-drumming in a Volkswagen, catching fly balls for Lexus, or accompanying ARod and Nomar Garciaparra on Amtrak. A musician as well as an actor, Michael performs songs from the American song-book as one-half of the musical duo, "Mike and Mandy." He was formerly the singer in a ska band and drummer for two different acid jazz / funk bands.
