Michael Fausti
Michael Fausti is an award winning director, writer and actor. He was born in the U.K. and studied Literature, Art and Film at the universities of London and Kent, where he developed an interest in surrealist cinema and art house horror. Deciding to focus on filmmaking, Fausti then went on to study film, make up and visual effects at the London Academy of Film and TV. He cites his cinematic influences as the films of Michael Powell, Alan Clarke, Dario Argento and Jean-Pierre Melville. An exponent of "Lo-Fi" filmmaking and practical effects, Fausti has written and directed a range of award winning films. He has stated that, "ideas are the most important technology of filmmaking."
