Mirlande Amazan
Mirlande Amazan was born in Haiti (of Syrian and Cuban descent) and came to the United States at the age of three, when her family moved to New York City. Initially a psychotherapist, Mirlande enjoyed a long career in mental health across various organizations, quickly becoming a director in her field. Holding degrees in both psychotherapy and ministry, she runs a non-profit organization geared towards mental health and spiritual growth. Her past as an international model spurred her into the acting, directing and producing world, bringing her unique experience as a therapist to the scripts that she writes, aiming to break mental health stigmas and bring clarity to the masses. She is a writer, producer and director.
