Nedd Brockmann

Born: 1999-01-08

Nedd Brockmann is a former electrician from Central West NSW who, at 23, became the fastest-ever Australian to run across Australia. It was an incredible effort averaging over 80 kms daily for the nearly 4000 km run. He embarked on the run to challenge himself but also wanted to use the opportunity to raise money for the homeless charity Mobilise. During his run, his daily Instagram updates captured the hearts and minds of Australia, culminating in an iconic moment at the finish line on Bondi Beach where more than 10,000 people welcomed him home in an emotional finish that will be remembered for years. His first book about his run, Showing Up, has been a bestseller and has been shortlisted for the Biography Book of the Year in the 2024 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIA), and longlisted for the Indie Book Awards 2024. Nedd’s relentless focus on never giving up by just showing up has inspired thousands across the nation to take on new challenges, big and small!
