Priyankar Patra
Priyankar is a Calcutta based screenwriter, filmmaker and a playwright. He has been interested in different forms of art from an early age but films have stayed with him since he was thirteen. Majority of Priyankar's independent works explore coming-of-age stories of characters separated, by circumstances, from their family, often explored through a satirical lens, During his time at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he earned his MFA in Screenwriting, he worked closely with Warner Bros., executives Mark Wolper and Kevin Nicklaus of L.A. Confidential, Bates Motel, Roots and Penn & Teller: Bullshit fame, and developed multiple projects for them, as a part of the Television Academy Foundation's education initiatives. After graduation, he moved back to Calcutta to collaborate with Aditya as an Assistant Director on his upcoming film Memories and my Mother, and other TV commercials. Independently, he has worked as a script consultant and just finished post-production for his short film Malini. Currently he is working as a Producer for For Films and developing Aditya's next feature length project, Birthmark.
