Sandhya Roy
Sandhya Roy is an Indian actress and politician. She is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She is the recipient of BFJA Award for three times, and one Filmfare Award East best actress for Ganadevata. Roy made her film debut with Rajen Tarafdar's Antariksha. She starred in the Berlinale 1973 Golden Bear winning film Ashani Sanket a.k.a. Distant Thunder in her only prominent international role. Today the film features in The New York Times Guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made.
