Sophie Brabenec is an actress born in Melbourne, Australia. The daughter of a Czech opal miner and Australian/French nurse. Sophie trained at the National Theatre Drama School and earned her first screen role not long after graduating in 'The Independent'(2007). Soon after, she relocated to London and worked extensively on stage, including lead roles in Australian plays 'Cosi', and 'The Present', directed by Olivier award winner Adam Spreadbury-Maher. She is also known for her work in films 'D'ora'(2013), screened at Cannes (2012) and BAFTA (2013), 'Dream Candy'(2010), winner of the Rising Star Award at The Canadian International Film Festival, and 'Only on Mondays' (2013), winner of the Best Acting Award at The Hollywood and Highland Film Festival. Sophie now lives in Los Angeles.
