Sören Olsson
Leif Sören Gustav Olsson, born March 16, 1964 in Karlskoga parish, Örebro county, is a Swedish children's book author, illustrator and lecturer. Sören Olsson grew up in Karlskoga and is the son of the chairman Helge Olsson and the prescriber May-Britt, unmarried Jakobsson. He started the company Änglatroll in 1986 together with his cousin Anders Jacobsson. Olsson is the author of a large number of popular books and films for children and youth, most often in collaboration with Jacobsson, including Sune, whom he also illustrated, and Bert, the TV series Sune's Christmas and the radio series Almanackan, but also Tuva-Lisa, Emanuel and Storasyster & Lillebror. Sören Olsson has written the book "Önskeringen" which takes place in Vivalla in Örebro. Sören has also written the script for the films about Sune together with Hannes Holm. He and his wife have published Prins Annorlunda, a book from 2008 about what it is like to live with a child who has Down’s syndrome and the deadly disease Eisenmenger syndrome. The role model for Prins Annorlubda was his son Ludvig (February 1991-4 March 2015), who had Downs’s syndrome, and who died in March 2015.
